Activity:

1.      Reading – Read about Labor Day (click on link) and complete Scavengar Hunt on Labor Day.  Turn into designated checker.

2.      Reading Response – Answer #1 from Setting prompt in Reading Response Journals on your Independent Book.  Remember to write well.  Keep in Reading Response Journals.

3.      Language Arts – Complete Subjects/Predicates sheet p. 22.

4.      Science/S.S. Project::  Read pgs. 11-13 in the History Alive Books (Understanding the Globe).  Then, read pgs. 12-13 in the National Geographic Map Essentials book (Storm Tracker).  Then complete pg. 63 on Longitude and Latitude.

5.      Spelling Introduction – write words in planner from Spelling Webpage – 1st Quarter Week 4.  Begin working on Spelling Sheet.

6.      Handwriting – Remember that 2 pages should be complete by the end of the week.  Keep in Lang. Arts section of your binder.

2.      Reading Responses – Answer #6 from Generic prompt in Reading Response Journals.  Remember to write well.  Keep in Reading Response Journals.

3.      Language Arts – Complete Subjects/Predicates transparency sheet.

4.      Science/S.S. Project:: Read pgs. 14-15 in the History Alive Books.  Then, go to the following links: Maps and Quiz.  Then complete pg. 61 on Longitude and Latitude.

5.      Spelling: Spelling Sheet has to be finished by Thursday. You should have one side completed.

6.      Handwriting: Handwriting Packet – At least 1 page should be complete by today.

7.      Newspapers: Complete another Back to School Activities.  Turn in activity today.

Project:: Read pgs. 16-19 in the History Alive Books.  Then complete pg. 65 on Longitude and Latitude.  Go through the following History Alive Internet Tutorial: An Interactive Guide.  Just click on Internet tutorial, then enter your name and click 1. Geography of the United States.  Use your books to assist you.

4.      Spelling: Spelling Sheet has to be finished by TODAY.

5.      Handwriting: Handwriting Packet – Should be working on 2nd page by today.
