Objective: Develop Reading and Spelling skills, practice Science/Social Studies skills, and practice handwriting.

Activity:

1.      Spelling Introduction – write words in planner from Spelling Webpage – 1st Quarter Week 8.  Begin working on Spelling Sheet.  Put the sheet in the Spelling section of your binder.

2.      Science/S.S. Project::  Continue working on Biomic Man presentations.

3.      Reading – Answer Think about the Selection Questions at the end of Volcanoes in your reading book.  Remember to answer in complete sentences.

4.      Writing: Finish finding pictures for United Streaming

5.      Handwriting – Handwriting page today.  Keep in Lang. Arts section of your binder.

6.      Jump Into Action: Answer Jump into Action Latest Scoop questions.  Keep with Guided Reading Contract.

2.      Discuss the U.S. Census and MJ p. 60.  Answer questions like people would for the U.S. Census using p. 24 Handout.

3.      Go over MJ pages 61.

4.      Work on MJ page 61.

When not meeting with Mrs. B you should be:

1.      Spelling: Spelling Sheet has to be finished by Thursday (tomorrow). You should complete 1 1/2 sides by today.

2.      Handwriting: Handwriting Packet – Complete 1 sheet today and put with Contract in your Guided Reading folder.

3.      Reading – Reread Night of the Twisters. (You can put this as your independent reading on your contract for today.)

Choice Activities:

1.      Work on Personal Narrative (United Streaming and Movie Maker)

2.      Go to Guided Reading Website Corner and do things under Theme 1.
