Bathroom Break @ 9:50

Objective: Understand Guided Reading Work Time and Activities.

Activity:

1.      Reading – Teacher Read-A-Loud and Predictions for Earthquake Terror.  Picture Walk of story and then write one paragraph predicting what will happen in the story.  Keep in Reading section of binders.

2.      Independent Reading – Answer #2 from character prompt in Reading Response Journals on your Independent Book.  Remember to write well.  Keep in Reading Response Journals.

3.      Science/S.S. Project: Introduce Weather Watch – Complete Observe Section of Scholastic Weather Watch – Go to this site through the Science Webpage and the first link.  Keep in Science section of binder

4.      Spelling Introduction – write words in planner from Spelling Webpage – 1st Quarter Week 3.

5.      Handwriting – Start working on packet.  Keep in Lang. Arts section of your binder.

6.      Do another Newspaper Activity from last week.

Objective:  Understand the making of clouds in the Science Lab; Reading concept of Phonics/Decoding.

Activity:       

1.      Science Lab – Science Lab Introduction and Science Lab experiment “Making a Cloud”

2.      Reading –  Read/Listen to Earthquake Terror.  First look for words that you need to Decode.

3.      Science/S.S. Project: Weather Watch – Complete Gather Data Section.

4.      Spelling: Work on Spelling Sheet.  Finish by Thursday.

5.      Newspaper: Complete 1 activity – turn into drop box.

6.      Mrs. B will be doing individual reading testing.

Objective: Understand Guided Reading Work Time and Activities.

Activity:             

1.      Reading – Comprehension of Earthquake Terror using Fan-N-Pick.

2.      Reading Responses – Answer #3 from character prompt in Reading Response Journals on Earthquake Terror.  Remember to write well.  Keep in Reading Response Journals.

3.      Science/S.S. Project: Weather Watch – Complete Investigate Section. ON the Investigate the cases, answer each question on a separate sheet of paper.  Keep in the Science section of binder.

4.      Spelling: Spelling Sheet has to be finished by Thursday. You should have one side completed.

5.      Handwriting: Handwriting Packet – At least 1 page should be complete by today.

6.      Newspapers: Complete 2 Back to School Activities.  Turn in both activities today.
