Activities:

3.      Work on MJ p. 15 and 16 after discussing prime and composite numbers.  Work with partner.

Objective: Understand Guided Reading procedures and Introduce Earthquake Terror.

Activities:      

  1. Guided Reading Lesson on Reading Contracts.
  2. Guided Reading Lesson on Juggling taking on-line quizzes and completing work.
  3. Teacher Read-A-Loud and Predictions for Earthquake Terror.  Picture Walk of story and then write one paragraph predicting what will happen in the story.  Keep in Guided Reading Folders.
  4. Write words in planner from Spelling Webpage – 1st Quarter Week 3
  5. Vocabulary Introduction to Earthquake Terror Sheet.
  6. Silent Reading

3.      Mrs. Brueggeman will be doing some reading tests.

4.      Do Pre-write for Top Vacation Spot Writing Assignment.

5.      Reading Response – Answer #3 from character prompt in Reading Response Journals on Earthquake Terror.  Remember to write well.  Keep in Guided Reading Folder.

6.      Analyze Base Words sheet.  Put in Guided Reading folder.

7.      Find the short vowel sounds activity.
