Objective: Identify the major events that led to the creation of the Declaration of Independence.

Activity:

1.      Mrs. Patton 1:40 – 2:15.

2.      Introduce Ch. 12 in History Alive. Read Section 12.1 and do a vocabulary web on Inspiration.

3.      Vocabulary Words:  Common Sense, Declaration of Independence, Second Continental Congress, treason, king of England.

4.      Read Section 12.2.
