Activities:

1.    Mini-Lesson:

a.      Connection – We talk about expression in our voice when we read and remind ourselves that newspapers aren’t the only way to show our voice.

b.      Teaching Point – So, how can we use recipes to show our voice?

c.      Demonstration – Discuss recipes and show how to write a recipe for citizenship.

2.    Conference/Small Group/Independent Work Time:

a.      Create a recipe about something you find important and write it in your snippet journal.

a.      Write about a person who shows good character it in your snippet journal and explain how you can try to persuade someone nicely to show good character like your person you are writing about.
