The Process
1. Interest Survey
First, take the following interest survey to help
you learn about
yourself.
- If you do not have access to Quia for the
Interest Survey, you may use the printable survey.
What did your Career Survey tell you? Check below to see
the description of your Career Pathway.
2. Research
Using the results you have discovered, you will
research different careers using the Internet links below. You may also
consult an encyclopedia or read your notes and materials received at the Career
Fair. Use the research checklist to look for the information.
3. Compare
When you have finished your research, create a
graphic organizer of what you have discovered. You can use Inspiration,
Microsoft Word, or another software to create this graphic organizer. You
will use the graphic organizer to assist you in writing your report.
- You may use the graphic organizer below
to assist you.
4. Report
Now the time has come to
create your report. Remember that you will give
your future self this report. It should clearly explain the profession you
have chosen and why.
5. Business Lunch
Strangely enough similar situations are occurring
with your classmates! They will all be researching to assist their future
selves also. When all of your classmates have completed their report you
will be attending a business lunch with classmates who have chosen careers that
are similar to your own. You will discuss the pros and cons of your job.
Don't forget your table manners!
